Wearflex® tadpoles are constructed of treated cover materials wrapped over resilient core materials forming a 'bulb' and 'tail' construction. Wearflex® tadpoles are ideal for sealing flanges with limited bolt force, warped or uneven mating surfaces, or joints where flat tapes or packings are not suitable.
Tadpoles are used for sealing oven dooors, covers, expansion joints and other applications where conformance to uneven flanges and sufaces is required. The tail or fin sections of the tadpole can be attached to metal or refractory surfaces.
Special application include low, as well as extremely high temperature applications, as those found in refractory operations.
