GPE impregnated gastight textiles are slightly mastic sealing cords.
This product is available in various diameters. GPE impregnated gastight textiles are impregnated with a mastic/elastic synthetic material and does not contain asbestos. The cord consists of yarns containing aluminum silicate or body soluble fibres. GPE impregnated gastight textiles are specially developed to seal boiler sections.
The cord can also be used as a jointing material between the flue gas collector and the boiler unit.
The special properties of the GPE product gives a permanent seal, effectively stopping combustion gasses escaping to atmosphere. This characteristic makes the product highly suitable for the sealing of boiler sections that are both pressurized as non-pressurized, during the operation of the boiler.
Various other sealing applications are also possible.
